Haymaking time!

Can you help with scything on Saturday morning?

Last Saturday we scythed half of our wildflower patch. By removing the cut grass we reduce the nutrients in the soil so the grass doesn't out-compete the flowers. We hope to finish the task on Saturday morning (2nd October). We need help with scything, raking, and barrowing the cut grass into the wood. We'll give training if you've not used a scythe before. We'll meet at 9.30 at the wildflower patch near the Queenswood Road end of the park, and aim to finish around 12.30. Wear stout shoes and bring gardening or work gloves if you have them.
